Jury Fit for Purpose

Jury should consist of people capable of making judgement. If this is not from the general public, should be randomnly selected from a more informed group. Classic cases that have failed in recent years: fraud. Case too complex for all members of the public. People with sound maths / finance backgrounds would have been able to deliver a verdict. Other examples - technical negligence. Pick from, say, engineers or scientists with the knowledge to fully understand what has gone wrong. Still random, still unbiased, just better informed...
