To be fair

I want an English parliament to speak for me. I want my voice back. Power and representation has been devolved to the other home countries, but the English are denied this privilege. For too long the English have been silent, and have sacrificed their identity and culture to the imperial concept of British. The political elite have promised votes for the English on English laws. This is not acceptable. Why should the English only be allowed to vote on English matters determined and imposed by a UK government? Let the English decide for themselves in their own parliament. Now the political elite are erasing the English nation into oblivion via the devolution of powers to city regions. So the Scots and Welsh can speak as nations, but English only as city regions. The arrogance of politicians now imposes mayors on a population that rejected the idea in referenda.  Politicians are playing politics with the English – the Tories to destroy Labour in Westminster and Labour to save their necks form losing 45 MPs in Scotland. I demand an English parliament.
